1986 Born in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

I create artworks using miniature figures whose faces and names are unknown.
Through these anonymous bodies, I explore human behavior, society, and philosophy.
Since childhood, I have been drawn to toys and scale models, so working with miniatures became a natural choice for me.

The figures I use are mass-produced industrial products with no identifiable maker or origin.
Although uniform in appearance, each one stands with a slightly different posture.
This coexistence of anonymity and subtle individuality mirrors the condition of human existence in contemporary society.

I am also deeply influenced by the Buddhist teaching that “a person must stand on their own feet.”
This idea is reflected in my act of placing each figure one by one, allowing them to stand independently.
The slight irregularities and contingencies of this manual process reveal delicate movements and diversity-much like the fluctuations found within human society itself.
